I haven't updated in forever, and when I do I feel as though it's nothing too important.
So, as of late I've been working more and more. And I'm glad. Because I need to start trying to pay off STCC for those pre-req. classes. I STILL have no idea what to do as far as a major goes. My main is problem is because I haven't really looked at what schools are offering, nor have I tried. And, I haven't looked up things that I enjoy.
I've been really lazy, and I'm kinda sick of it. I feel scared of things. As if I'm going to screw up or something. I'm scared of failure, but that's the only way I'll learn. So, I'm making 0% progress. AWESOME.
Anyways, here's how Connecticon 2009 went.
I didn't go on Thursday, but I got that day off. So, everyone went to Rene's, and we all just bro'd out. Hung out, played games, ate shitty food, the usual. Twix had to get his tire fixed, and that was a shizload of money. So, Paul ended up having to lend Twix a bunch of money, but Twix already paid him.
Anyways, that morning me and Joe were just bro talkin' it out because we hadn't slept yet. We woke up Rene, and no one was getting up so the people who WERE ready showered then went to Walgreens and the like. Then once we got back we grabbed everyone and drove to the hotel to park. We walked to the convention and registered as usual. Ran into Mikhail's group, and then we wandered off. I took a few pictures which were posted on my Facebook. I wish I had taken way more, though. I saw a few costumes I liked but just said "Eh, later. I'm busy right now." but never got to it.
So, that day basically ended up being me, Nicole, Mikhail, Rachel, and Joe. We first wandered around the dealer's 'room', and I danced a few songs later after that. Then we went to Mc'Donalds and ate after running through the POURING rain. Me and Joe went to the hotel to shower, and throw our shit in the room and then went back to the convention to hang out a bit longer. I found a Nuka Cola bottlecap so that was pretty cool. Overall, that night wasn't too bad, some drama happened that isn't even worth bringing up, and I'd rather forget about it and I'm sure others do as well.
Then that morning I woke up to seventy billion sirens from cops, to ambulances, and fire engines. So, I hopped in the shower, and me, Rene, and Twix hopped out the door, and went to Dunkin Donuts foar fewdz. Then me and Rene danced a bit, and I danced with this awesome Dr. Who cosplayer who freestyled. He was pretty cool, and really nice. So, I did the DDR tournament qualifier and qualified pretty decently. I was just matched up with one of the best in the tourney. So, I got knocked out pretty fast. I had fun, though. So, after the tourney I tried to find Shino, and Kate, and I ended up finding Shino. So, I hung out with her and her friends. They were pretty cool. A different crowd from what I'm used to, but fun nonetheless. XD
So, we went to the Dealer's Room, and the Artists Alley. Then walked around and stuff. We were gonna go to the Explosm, and XKCD panel but the line was insanely long, and they decided on kicking people out, too. So, we went to the Anime Match game. And it was just full of memes. So, we ended up leaving after about 20 minutes. Then we went outside and stuff, and then I said my goodbyes, and walked to the hotel where Rene was just sleeping. We ordered a pizza, and I got cheese fries as well because I basically hadn't eaten all day besides the Dunkin Donuts. Then Shock, Nick D, and Foo came to the hotel kinda drunk. Shock kept doing shots, so I hid the bottle of Twix's KJ, and Joe just told Shock where it was. So, we're all convinced Joe just wants to kill Shock. Then we went to the rave for like... two seconds, and I saw Shino, Matt, and Elonia there. Then I went out of the rave, and actually saw Kate but it was for like. A split second. So, that was a letdown. Then Nick M, and Shock were talking to Quailman, and this Forest Ranger about how drunk they are and how awesome of a friend I am.
Then Chelsea, and Amanda appeared out of nowhere, and Nick M started "stomping the yard" apparently. So, I walked away and a bunch of us just walked around and watched this asian lady flying this kite type thing. Eventually we went to the hotel, and Rene, and Foo came up with the idea of leaving early so we left at 2 am to go back home.
I think this weekend was pretty fun. Random hiccups here and there but it was enjoyable, and I enjoyed being with the people that weren't starting arguments, fights, unnecessary drama, and assorted things like that.
I think I'm used to Post-Con Depression now so I don't feel as "BLAH" as I normally do, but I can't wait for the next con that rolls about.

Well, first I had to get my schedule because I lost my original copy. So, I went to the office and got it.
I have...
Psychology, and English on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
And I have Art, and Algebra on Tuesday and Thursday.
I couldn't find my class after walking around aimlessly for a while but found a friend from Sci Tech and walked around with her and then she said she had to go to class so I went searching by myself. I couldn't find it so I went back to admissions and asked them where it was and I found it. It's literally like...50 miles away from everything else. But, it was an awesome class and the teacher was pretty nice. She just... went over everything and read over the syllabus. Then she just talked about the supplies we'll be using and then she let us leave. I realized that I had an hour and a half until my next class. So, I called Shelby and then thought "Wait... I think she has school. Never mind." so I hung up and then called Ichigo but it called Shelby anyways.

So, she ended up picking up all "akhsflkjsfhfgwerrrrrrrrrrrr" like and groggy. I said..."Wait, were you asleep?" and she just said "....Huuuuhn?" and I laughed and asked again and she said "Yeah." so, I asked her if I could go over and then yeah. I walked to her house and then we just laughed at squirrels falling off rooves, squirrels crawl walking, my brother eating my OLOH gym shirt, her and Lizzy yelling at her neighbors, and her falling into her house because of a bee, and drank Orange Juice. Then I walked back and went to my Algebra class. It was pretty basic. Just...yeah. Reviewing Algebra because I suck at Math. So, I get out early again and then I was waiting for Twix to get out and I saw way too many people from Sci Tech and it was awkward. So, Twix gets out and he explains how his teacher was the most apathetic bitch in the world. He apparently doesn't show any emotion at all. So, then I showed Twix where his class was and then I got picked up by my Mom. And...here I am. With Lush 5 gum, and a Rockstar.

So. I think that was a pretty good experience for a first day. |

Lately everything has been just...so...good.
Awesomeness:
New York was awesome, that day adventuring with Ichigo was awesome, and just basically...everything has been awesome. I've been a lot happier ever since the whole Shelby and Scott drama. It obviously still bothers me and stuff but I'm definitely way happier than I was before. Thanks to awesome people keeping my mind off of it. They know who they are. ^_________________________________________^;
But, yeah. Both that day with Ichigo and NYC were practically the funnest/funniest things ever. I'm so glad I have such awesome friends.
NYC show:
I don't really listen to Magrudergrind as much as Chico, and Lemon so yeah...It was fun and awesome. The New York trip was worth it. I hadn't been to New York before that so it was a new experience for me.
Random Stuff:
Ever since I've graduated it still feels like I'm gonna have to go back to school. It's like a bad habit. I mean, one morning I woke up exactly at 6:45 and jumped in the shower and when I got out my brother asked me what I was doing and I said "Oh...crap. XD" And I literally just fell on my bed and fell asleep right after that. Unless if that was a dream...but I dunno. It still feels weird. I've been sleeping TOO late, too. I want my sleeping habits to sort of go back to the way they were during school except add about 2 more hours to it. I went to a job fair for a Big Y being built close to my house and I got an interview. The lady told me that they'd call when the job fair is all done and they have open spots. But, my dad told me to call tomorrow. So, I'll do that.
Cons:
Connecticon 08 should be awesome. Well, there's no reason why it wouldn't be awesome. I'll get to see some people I'll probably only see once or twice a year, the hotel room will be fun, random events, and obviously funny moments and stuff. Oh, and a possible return of the Zombie Horde? Hopefully people will actually want to go to events this year. Last year was my most disliked year so far. I want this year to be like 05 and 06. Going to almost every event, playing random games(Mainly DDR), and passing out the second we get a chance to. So fun.
Cosplay:
Hmm...well, I have a bunch of the stuff finished for my Shikamaru cosplay. I just need to make that small shirt that you only really see when he's still a Genin, and fix up that fishnet shirt.
My Skull Sader costume hasn't even been started. I have the trench coat and stuff...I just need to dye it, alter it and stuff. I need to buy gloves and cut off the fingers, get black jeans that are semi baggy, and probably borrow my dad's gigantic army boot things. Then I need to make the mask. Which is basically...the main part of the costume. I'll need bondo, wire frame mesh, and...either primer or white paint. Whatever goes more.
Oh yeah, this is my first update in forever. It feels so strange updating. Especially after deleting all of my old updates. Welp, I'm done. :D |
